Since 1988, the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra has been performing in the Mirror Hall of Princes Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace in Nevsky Prospekt, in the heart of St. Petersburg. During these years brimming with symphony music, it has restored the Hall’s status of one of the city’s best concert venues.

The Sunday family concerts of popular classical music on the stage of the Mirror Hall of the magnificent Princes Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace have been inevitable success with Petersburg’s music lovers for many years now. Tunes known from childhood, excellent symphony music performed by one of Russia’s best orchestras, and informative comments are the essential factors of popularity of this concert series. The subscription’s audience will hear masterfully selected thematic programs based on everything most interesting and favorite. The originator of the subscription is Yuri Serov, a conductor, pianist, and music researcher and communicator. The conductors and soloists in the concerts are leading musicians of St. Petersburg.

For many years now, the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra has been offering interesting and educative programs to young music lovers. In the 2016-2017 season, it is works of famous composers from various countries worldwide, or a voyage around the world with a symphony orchestra. Impressive music performed by the Orchestra’s excellent musicians will give many pleasant minutes both to children and their parents. Pianist and conductor Yuri Serov, the originator of the subscription, will comment the concerts in a fascinating and demonstrative manner. The concerts are held within the historic interiors of the Mirror Hall of Princes Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace in the heart of St. Petersburg, and are intended for primary school-aged children.
